We understand that picking the right size when shopping for clothes online isn’t always easy, so we’ve created this straightforward sizing guide to help you determine which size will work best for you.

Please note: Since all our garments are individually handcrafted, slight variations of up to ±1 cm may occur from piece to piece.

LA VAREUSE METIS

These measurements are taken with the garment laid flat and buttoned up:

Shoulders — Measured straight across the top of the garment from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Chest — Taken below the armholes, from one seam side to the other.
Back — Measured from the seam at the base of the collar straight down the center back.
Sleeve — Measured from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve cuff.

LA VAREUSE METIS has a boxy fit, and features a distinctive design with two front pockets and a button closure with an inside flap.

A three seasons essential that will fit perfectly with LE PANTALON METIS.

LA VAREUSE METIS is crafted from a Métis cotton/linen fabric woven by Manufacture Métis in France.

Although sturdy, the Métis fabric offers a soft and lightweight feel, that will develop a patina over time.

The buttons are made of Corozo, a vegetal ivory coming from the Tagua palm. It has a unique grain pattern, is scratch-resistant and extremely durable.

Wash inside out at 40°C and lay flat to dry.
After washing, iron the garment carefully and gently re-shape it by hand.
Due to its rigidity, linen may pull on the cotton fibers. Light stretching helps restore the original structure and alignment of the cotton threads.

LA VAREUSE METIS will shrink slightly after washing and it might feel tight for about 30 minutes; but don’t worry, it will loosen up and settle into a perfect fit!
