Size Guide LE PANTALON METIS

We understand that picking the right size when shopping for clothes online isn’t always easy, so we’ve created this straightforward sizing guide to help you determine which size will work best for you.

Please note: Since all our garments are individually handcrafted, slight variations of up to ±1 cm may occur from piece to piece.

LE PANTALON METIS

There are four main measurements :

Waist
Front rise
Seat
Inseam

You can take these measurements from a pair of trousers you already own or measure your body directly. Just grab a measuring tape and follow our step-by-step instructions:

Waist — Measure across the waistband from edge to edge. Gently stretch the fabric if needed for an accurate reading.
Front rise — Measure from the center of the crotch seam (between the legs) up to the top of the waistband.
Seat — Find the widest part of the trousers, and measure across. If measuring your body, divide the total hip circumference by two to compare with our chart.
Inseam — Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.

All measurements listed are taken flat (half-circumference).

LE PANTALON METIS is inspired by French army chino pants M52 used during the 50’s/60’s Indochina and Algeria war and French vintage indigo work pants.

Featuring one inward facing pleat, back pockets with flaps, a deep rise and a button fly, you can tighten it with side adjusters on the back.

The cut is slightly wider than a regular fit.

A three seasons essential that will fit perfectly with La Vareuse Métis.

LE PANTALON METIS is crafted from a Métis cotton/linen fabric woven by Manufacture Métis in France.

Although sturdy, the Métis fabric offers a soft and lightweight feel, that will develop a patina over time.

The buttons are made of Corozo, a vegetal ivory coming from the Tagua palm. It has a unique grain pattern, is scratch-resistant and extremely durable.

Wash inside out at 40°C and lay flat to dry.
After washing, iron the garment carefully and gently re-shape it by hand.
Due to its rigidity, linen may pull on the cotton fibers. Light stretching helps restore the original structure and alignment of the cotton threads.

These trousers will shrink slightly after washing and they might feel tight for about 30 minutes; but don’t worry, similar to a jean, they will loosen up and settle into a perfect fit!
